Get to Somewhere, is a collection of lived experiences and true stories that have shaped me. Stories about roller skating rinks, summer love, falling in love with someone’s voice, traveling to where Joni Mitchell wrote her song Carey, the family diner purchased in 1948, driving to California from Kansas at 18 and working as a knife thrower's assistant, walking around cemeteries, self-doubt, and the notion that tomorrow always brings another day. Get to Somewhere is about leaving one place behind and finding another, both in the world and within oneself. A journey across landscapes, through time and into the heart reflecting miles traveled and the weight of standing still.
